Christchurch and Banks Peninsula

It wasn't an easy decision which Campervan to rent for the next month.
First, because it was high season and many companies were already booked out.
Second, high season means high prices as well.
Third, establishing contact with some of the rental companies was pretty difficult because of the New Years holidays.
Fourth, we were still quite hungover...

But in an coup de force we managed to get a Van and took the next plane to Christchurch, where it had to be picked up. Thereby we spontanously changed our route through NZL, now starting with the South Island. (More on the Van in my next blog entry.)

The first days we were not really lucky with the weather (unlike most of the rest of our stay), but still we got some nice first impressions of how versatile and magnificent New Zealand can be.
