After reluctantly leaving Kaikoura, it became apparent to us why having a Camper Van at our disposal is invaluable in NZL. Even though we had to knock off lots of kilometres the next 2 days in order to reach our next destination in time - the Abel Tasman national park -, it never bothered us. We just kept watching the lovely miscellaneous scenery from out of our car seats, listening to music and stopping for a break wherever and whenever we wanted to.
